Lawyer Profile

Kanwer is a dual-qualified lawyer hailing from India. After completing his legal education from Symbiosis International University (SIU), and gaining some transactional experience at an international organisation, he moved to Canada in 2020 for his MBA program at the University Canada West (UCW). While undergoing the MBA program, Kanwer attained the Canadian law equivalency and also volunteered as a legal volunteer with the Canadian Centre for Men and Families (CCMF, Vancouver).

Prior to joining Hendrix Law, Kanwer was a member of the general practice at a premier Alberta law firm and his practice primarily entailed real estate law, corporate-commercial law, and litigation involving builder’s liens matters and foreclosure matters.

Kanwer is an active member of the Punjabi community in Calgary, the South Asian Bar Association (Calgary), and the Global Lawyers of Canada (GLC, Alberta). He can provide legal services in multiple languages such as English, Hindi, Punjabi, and Urdu. When not practicing law, Kanwer is either busy writing grants for the Affinity Mentorship Foundation (AMF), or decompressing while traveling, watching movies, and playing cricket.
