Lawyer Profile

Beverly is an internationally trained lawyer of Filipino descent. Prior to moving to Canada, she practiced corporate and tax law for seven years in a mid-sized firm and one of the ‘Big Four’ global accounting firms. She also worked as a Court Attorney and Chief of Staff at the Court of Tax Appeals.

While Beverly was obtaining her Certificate of Qualification to practice law in Canada, she worked as a Paralegal at Hendrix Law and at one of the leading mid-sized firms in Calgary, where she articled and started her career as a Canadian lawyer in 2017. Her primary practice was Wills and Estates. She provided estate planning advice and guided clients through the process of establishing their personal planning documents (Wills, Enduring Power of Attorney, and Personal Directive). She also assisted Executors and Administrators in filing applications for Grants of Probate and Grants of Administration with the Surrogate Court. She is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and carries a TEP designation.

Beverly is now happily back at Hendrix Law under the auspices of Denise Hendrix, who was her first mentor. She has been assisting clients with residential real estate and commercial purchases, sales, and refinances. Outside of work, Beverly loves to accompany her family on joy rides and travels, as well as to watch her son’s football and soccer games. She is fluent in both English and Tagalog (Filipino).
