Ms. Hendrix completed her articles with the law firm of Davidson & Williams in Lethbridge, Alberta and joined the firm as an associate lawyer thereafter. Ms. Hendrix’s practice at Davidson & Williams was focused in the areas of litigation, foreclosures, real estate and estate work for a period of two years.
In 1993, Ms. Hendrix returned to Calgary and joined the firm of Fleming Kambeitz where she practiced until 1996. Her practice at Fleming Kambeitz was focused in the areas of corporate/commercial litigation, foreclosures, real estate and general commercial matters.
Ms. Hendrix joined the firm of Vickers & Associates as an Associate in 1997. Ms. Hendrix joined as a partner in the firm which became Vickers Hendrix LLP in 2009. The firm became Hendrix Law in 2014.
Ms. Hendrix is currently a mentor for practising lawyers in the area of Foreclosure and Real Estate Law. Ms. Hendrix has lectured for Appraisal Institute of Canada members in Calgary, has lectured and developed materials for various Legal Education Society of Alberta seminars, taught and lectured to articling students in Canadian Centre for Professional Legal Education courses, lectured before various lending institutions, spoken to members of the Calgary Real Estate Board and lectured before the Alberta Mortgage Brokerage Association. Ms. Hendrix lectured at Mount Royal College (now Mount Royal University) for over 10 years in the legal sections of the Mortgage Brokerage course which is mandatory for all Alberta Mortgage Brokers. Ms. Hendrix has been interviewed and quoted in various articles on foreclosures and real estate over the years.
Ms. Hendrix is a member in good standing of the Calgary Bar Association, Canadian Bar Association and the Law Society of Alberta, the Law Society of the Northwest Territories, the Law Society of Nunavut and the Law Society of Yukon.
Ms. Hendrix has established over the years, various scholarships for the development of junior high and high school students to honour life balance, athletic and academic achievement in Calgary, Alberta.
Ms. Hendrix is the past chair of the South Alberta Canadian Bar Association Foreclosure Subsection and a current member of the Executive of the Subsection. Ms. Hendrix is a past member of the Alberta Builders Association and a current member of the Alberta Mortgage Brokers Association.
Ms. Hendrix is active in the development of the foreclosure practise in Alberta and has worked with the Alberta Bar and Masters in Chambers on the development of precedents, practise and procedures for foreclosure lawyers.
Ms. Hendrix practice is primarily limited to the areas of litigation, commercial and residential real estate and foreclosures for National Banks, Trust Companies, Mortgage Investment Corporations and Private Lenders and Wills and Estates.
Ms. Hendrix is the winner of the 2017 partner award with AMBA for having demonstrated outstanding customer service and being actively involved within the industry working toward its continuing betterment.
Ms. Hendrix is a member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada.
